I am trying to convert an old pc from windows 95 to windows XP. I deleted some files by accident and I need to use dos commands to run the XP disc. Is this possible?

I recently purchased a toshiba A135-S4407. This pc has vista already installed and i am going to install xp, but i know that i need the drivers before i install the old os. The toshiba site only has drivers for vista and not for xp. I need help to find these drivers, i have tried finding them individually to no avail. Thanks in advance for any advice/help.

i am thinking of replacing my vista with ubuntu.
Questions:

1) what will be the advantages and disadvantages of using ubuntu instead of vista?
2) what will be the setbacks of replacing my vista?
3) how hard is it to cope up with the new OS? what must i learn to utilize ubuntu?

I have installed Windows XP and Redhat Linux on my computer. My windows XP is corrupt. I am planning to reinstall XP but I dont know how to do it without doing anything. Last time when I formatted the drive where XP was installed, even my redhat linux got deleted. Please give me the complete instructions to reinstall Windows XP without harming Redhat Linux.
