I have a H.P. DV6707US with vista installed and tried to install XP on it but the drivers are near impossible to find. And no, H.P. wont help since the unit came with Vista. Any suggestions?

The computer works fine. I want to get rid of the XP operating system so I can install a Linux operating system without having to deal with the existing OS (which frankly is getting in the way). I’ve got the install disk and everything for the Linux boot. I just want to get rid of XP completely and I can’t figure out how.

At present my new computer has come with windows vista home premium but the programme is naff the system is too slow for what I want it for, my old computers programme is windows xp proffessional and runs much faster then vista home premium

I accidentally un installed my( realtek high Definition audio driver) of my windows xp.I have the driver as a backup file in local disk d.I tried to reinstall it from the back up files and i failed.My lab top has no sounds now and no sound program is working.How to fix this?
